The main function of earthquake information is to generate a list of earthquakes in a select region on the planet. You may input the borders of a bounding box (measured in degrees) that will be translated onto the globe. Other parameters such as minimum magnitude, date and number of results may also be input. The results of a search will be displayed in table format, which may be exported to a spreadhseet if required. You can obtain a list up to a maximum of 500 earthquakes at one time.
Once a list has been obtained, you may then generate a visual map depicting the location of each earthquake. The map will contain the longitude and latitude location for each notated earthquake. You may zoom in and pan the map to give a clearer view of earthquake locations.
The geolocation feature allows the searching of locations on the planet. A table of locations matching your search parameters will be generated in the same fashion as the earthauke search. You may select a location, then use that as a centre to search for earthquakes within a given range of this centre. When generating a map, the centre will be marked on the map. Locations searches may also be narrowed down by various parameters.
